The Jomolhari Trek is one of Bhutan’s most iconic and breathtaking trekking adventures, offering an unforgettable journey through the pristine landscapes of the eastern Himalayas. Famous for its dramatic mountain scenery, remote alpine valleys, crystal-clear rivers, and traditional highland villages, this trek provides a perfect combination of adventure, culture, and natural beauty.
Named after the sacred Mount Jomolhari (7,326m), often referred to as the “Bride of Kangchenjunga,” the trek takes travelers deep into some of Bhutan’s most untouched wilderness areas. The peaceful atmosphere and untouched beauty of the region make this trek one of the most rewarding experiences in Bhutan.
One of the major highlights of the trek is reaching the spectacular Jangothang Base Camp, located beneath the towering Mount Jomolhari. The panoramic mountain views from the camp are considered among the finest in the Himalayas and offer incredible opportunities for photography, exploration, and cultural encounters with local highland communities.
Beyond the trekking adventure, the tour also includes cultural experiences in Paro and Thimphu, including visits to the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery, Rinpung Dzong, Buddha Dordenma, and Memorial Chorten, allowing travelers to experience both the natural and spiritual beauty of Bhutan.
